too much of online witch "culture" is centered around petty-bourgoise "small business-owner" capitalist nonsense, dangerous crypto-antivaxer "homeopaths", and fake "feminists" who venerate rather than dismantle the gender binary & "traditional" womanhood
i want queer communist anti-imperialist witchcraft. i want a blending of witchcraft with dialectical & historical materialism into a witch's "liberation theology" that emphasizes a scientific approach to herbal & traditional medicine, & encourages combining ritual, magic & praxis
Steven Universe is a children's show which replaces masculine power fantasy with an emotional maturity fantasy. Steven's entire superpower is being kind and understanding, and the show treats this with the same gravity and enthusiasm as other shows treat combat. This is a good and beautiful thing.

How's your afternoon going?
how to fake global illumination:
1. for each point on a surface, ask yourself "if I was a tiny bug sitting on the surface of this object, what would the sky look like?"
2. think more about being a bug
3. enjoy thinking about being a bug
4. make a bugsona
5. make friends with other bugs
6. find a function that approximates the average sky colour. this will be a proxy for the hemispherical integral, and add that on top of any specular contribution

it’s pretty well understood that we are a product of our experiences, that we are shaped and molded by the things that we enjoy, the people that teach us and grow up with us, and the advertisements and other forms of propaganda that are a part of our daily lives. but i feel like we kind of gloss over how our experiences in the now affect and shape us moving forward.
i’d like to talk about that briefly with no real thesis (general cw ahead for some topics that have been in the news recently, which may include but not be limited to: suicide, nazis, gun violence, and sexual violence)
